About

Someone Had to Score It.

OpenNOD is the quality standard for the AI agent economy. An open protocol. A scoring system. A wake-up call.

AI agents are already choosing restaurants, comparing insurance, booking flights. But they're doing it blind. Most businesses have no machine-readable identity, no structured capabilities, no way for an agent to understand what they offer.

We scored 10,046 brands. The average was 39.6 out of 100. Only 125reached Ready. The industries that would benefit most from AI agents — e-commerce, food delivery, travel — scored the worst.

That's not a technology problem. It's a standards problem.

What OpenNOD Is

An open protocolThe NOD Protocol (nod.json) is a machine-readable manifest for business identity and capabilities. Open source. MIT licensed. Like robots.txt told crawlers what to index, nod.json tells agents what you can do.
A scoring systemThe NOD Score v2.0 measures agent readiness across 72 checks in 7 categories. Formative composite, archetype-weighted, reproducible, versioned.
A public benchmarkWe publish scores. 10,000+ brands scored and counting. Named companies, real numbers, no NDAs. Transparency drives adoption.

Founder

Eiland Glover

Founder, OpenNOD

Eiland Glover spent 15 years building measurement systems in standardized educational assessment — psychometrics, scoring methodologies, evaluation frameworks that measure what matters and discard what doesn't. That discipline produced the NOD Score. He's also a pioneer inventor of algorithmic stablecoins, which means he's designed open protocols requiring machine-readable trust, verification, and interoperability at scale — the same architecture behind the NOD Protocol. And he builds multi-agent AI systems: automated evaluation pipelines, dynamic agent platforms, the infrastructure that agents actually run on. He saw the gap from the agent side — agents had no way to evaluate the businesses they interact with — and built the standard. Fulbright Scholar.

An Open Standard

OpenNOD is to AI agents what schema.org is to search engines. The protocol is open source, MIT licensed, and built for the ecosystem — not for lock-in. The methodology is versioned publicly. Community contributions are welcome.

“We don't own this. The ecosystem does. We just scored first.”
