Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-04-08

1. What OpenNOD does

OpenNOD scans publicly accessible web pages and produces a NOD Score that estimates how readable, navigable, and transactable a site is for AI agents. We only fetch content that any anonymous browser could fetch.

2. Acceptable use

Don't use OpenNOD to scan systems you don't own or have permission to test in ways that violate applicable law, the target site's terms, or rate limits. Don't resell raw scan output as your own product.

3. Reports are informational

NOD Scores are informational signals, not guarantees of agent compatibility, search ranking, revenue, or any business outcome. Scoring methodology evolves; past scores may not match current ones.

4. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenNOD and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the service. Aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid OpenNOD in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans bill in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your dashboard or by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are at our discretion.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
